What is URL encoding?
Characters that are not allowed in URLs, such as spaces and &, are replaced with % followed by two hex digits. A space becomes %20.
When should spaces be + instead of %20?
In HTML form data (application/x-www-form-urlencoded). In other parts of a URL, use %20.
What does Keep URL characters do?
It encodes a whole address but leaves : / ? & = alone, like JavaScript’s encodeURI. Leave it off to encode a single value safely.
