Frequently asked questions
Smart or Lossless?
Smart re-encodes the image with a modern encoder (MozJPEG for JPG) and often saves 50–80% with no visible difference. Lossless works with JPG, PNG and WebP: it keeps every pixel identical and removes only hidden data, so it saves less.
Does compression keep the same format?
Yes, by default a JPG stays a JPG and a PNG stays a PNG. HEIC, BMP and TIFF are saved as JPG, or PNG if they have transparency. Choose WebP, AVIF or Smallest file for even smaller files.
Is my location removed?
Yes. GPS location, camera details and other hidden data are removed from compressed files.
Is there a limit?
Up to 50 images per batch and 50 MB per image.
