Frequently asked questions
Where does the vendor name come from?
From the IEEE registry of OUI blocks (MA-L, MA-M and MA-S), via the Wireshark manufacturer list.
Why does it say locally administered?
Phones and computers often use a random MAC address for privacy. Those have a special bit set and don’t belong to any vendor.
