DnD dice roller

Roll 3D d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and d100 dice for D&D and other tabletop games. Type 2d6+3, roll with advantage and enjoy every natural 20.

How to use the DnD dice roller tool

  1. Tap the dice you need or type a roll such as 1d20+5 or 8d6.
  2. Press Roll, tap the tray or press the Space bar. Use Advantage or Disadvantage for two d20s.
  3. Read the total and each die. Dropped dice fade out, and a natural 20 or 1 gets its own effect.

Frequently asked questions

Are these dice fair?

Yes. Every result is picked with your browser’s cryptographically secure random generator before the throw, so each face has exactly the same chance. The 3D throw then shows that result.

How do I write a roll?

NdS means N dice with S sides: 2d6 is two six-sided dice. Add a number for a modifier, like 1d20+5. Add kh1 to keep the highest die (2d20kh1) or dl1 to drop the lowest (4d6dl1).

What are advantage and disadvantage?

You roll two d20s and keep the higher one (advantage) or the lower one (disadvantage). The die that doesn’t count fades out.

What is a natural 20?

Rolling a 20 on the d20 itself, before modifiers. In D&D it is a critical hit on an attack roll. A natural 1 is an automatic miss.

How does the d100 work?

Two ten-sided dice are rolled: one shows tens (00–90) and one shows units (0–9). 00 and 0 together make 100.

How do I roll ability scores?

Press Roll 6 ability scores. Each score is 4d6 with the lowest die dropped, the most common method for new characters.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. The 3D dice run on modern phones. Turn on Simple mode for older devices, and it switches on by itself if 3D isn’t available.
