- Choose to remove everything or only the location, then download the clean photos one by one or as a ZIP.
Frequently asked questions
What is EXIF data?
Hidden information that cameras and phones save inside a photo: the GPS location where it was taken, the camera or phone model, the date and time, settings and sometimes serial numbers or the owner’s name.
Does removing EXIF reduce quality?
No. For JPG, PNG and WebP only the hidden data is removed; the image itself is not re-compressed. The file just gets a little smaller.
Why does my photo look the same after cleaning?
We keep the color profile, and for JPG the rotation setting, so the photo looks exactly as before. Everything else is removed.
Do social networks remove EXIF?
Most big networks remove it from public photos, but email, messaging apps, cloud links and many websites send the original file with its location.
What happens to HEIC photos?
HEIC, AVIF and TIFF can’t be cleaned in place in a browser, so the photo is saved as a high-quality JPG (or PNG if it has transparency) without any hidden data.
