Frequently asked questions

What is included in the monthly payment?

Principal and interest, plus property tax, home insurance, PMI when your down payment is under 20%, and any HOA fee. Lenders often call this PITI.

When does PMI go away?

On most conventional loans PMI ends automatically when your balance reaches 78% of the home’s original value. You can ask to remove it at 80%.

How much do extra payments save?

Extra money goes straight to principal, so less interest builds up. Even $100 a month can save tens of thousands over a 30-year loan. Enter an amount to see your numbers.

Is this an official loan quote?

No. It is an estimate. Your lender will give you exact numbers, including closing costs.
