Frequently asked questions
How much upload speed do I need to stream?
Leave plenty of headroom: for 1080p60 at 6,000 kbps you want at least 8–10 Mbps of stable upload.
What is bufferbloat and why does it matter?
It is extra lag that appears when your connection is busy. A poor grade means streaming can cause dropped frames and lag in games, so we recommend a lower bitrate.
Should I stream 720p or 1080p?
If your upload or the platform limits the bitrate, 720p60 or 936p60 often looks cleaner than a starved 1080p60.
Why CBR and a 2-second keyframe interval?
Streaming platforms expect a steady bitrate and keyframes every 2 seconds so viewers can join and switch quality smoothly.
